B-DNA: translation

The structural form of DNA originally described by Crick and Watson. It is the form normally found in hydrated DNA and is strictly an average, approximate stucture for a family of B forms. In B-DNA, the double helix is a right-handed helix with about 10 residues per turn and has a major and a minor groove. The planes of the base pairs are perpendicular to the helix axis.
