FORAMINIFERA

Foraminifera: translation

Group of Rhizopod Protozoa that secrete a test (‘shell’) and have slender pseudopods that extend beyond the test and unite to form networks. Allogromia is a genus within this group. Extensive remains of Foraminiferan tests are found in sedimentary rocks from the Ordovician to the present.
